About George Catone
George Catone, an Arizona-registered architect since 1998, created the design firm Reset Studios in 2005.
Born in Pittsburgh, he received his professional degrees from Kent State University, and spent the first part of his career in Pennsylvania designing large educational facilities. He relocated to Phoenix in 1996, and worked most notably as second-in-command for two of the Valley's signature boutique architectural design firms before launching his own studio.
George has a successful background balancing award-winning design and effective construction detailing, as well
as an arts-based tradition that allows him to be actively involved in a broad range of design activities and relationships.
Every time I run into my friend Julie, she gives me the gift of inspiration.

CeraNiveau complete drainage system
More info here:
http://www.dallmer.de/

The drain body is cast into a polymer-concrete collar, while integrated reinforcement securely anchors the drain, with the drainage point remaining firmly set even under heavy loads. It is permanently watertight.

A 0.8 l/s flow rate ensures that “water from even the largest showers can be safely drained.” More at Dallmer. Photo: Dallmer.

This is great, despite the fact that we fall prey to nasty parental approval. Just spell the name correctly…

It is time to bring the noise in a big way. No more whining. No more complaining. If you are still around – congratulations – you are one of the few left. Now let’s feel those bass cannons.
Images of sonic weapon and following text from BLDG BLOG article here:
http://bldgblog.blogspot.com/2011/06/bass-ganglia.html

Inspired by experimental Japanese sound weapons prototyped during World War II, Alberto Tadiello’s E13 000625 (2010) mounts a bass cannon onto the wall of an art gallery, where it greets visitors with an alarming, vibratory blurt.
Régine Debatty calls it “the sound that hits you in the stomach.”

Ran across this as I was searching for a old needed cad file on an old hard drive. A sort of homecoming. I missed this one.
This is a rendering for a home plan set that I created back when people actually were wanting these and building things.
Hey economy – lighten up already!

This is so great. A definite addition to the “why didn’t I think of this?” file.
I think I found my birthday present. See the full link below.

These are really excellent, and the quality of the light is much better than the greenish hue from typical CFLs. See the link below for more photos in contextual settings.

Dezeen filmed this interview with the team behind the Plumen 001 light bulb, winner of this year’s Brit Insurance Design of the Year Award, during the ceremony at the Design Museum in London on Tuesday. (more…)

This is a good summary for the weekend as my family and I worked hard on removing clutter. Maybe we should have read the book before working, though. Ah well, maybe next weekend.
